To locate the NPI code please go to:
- Custom Tab in AMD
- Click on Extra Info
- Click on any row
- Gather the doctor’s NPI (through LIMS or the EXTRA INFO tab in CUSTOM TABS)
- Search it on https://www.npinumberlookup.org/ or using the HIPAASpace Option in the Next Cloud Password Manager Tool
- Regardless of what state your patient told you, you enter the plan name according to the doctor’s NPI.
- I.E.: Patient has BCBS CA when you look for the NPI, the physician is registered in Alabama; therefore, you would send the Insurance update under BCBS AL.
