Diagnosis codes are an important part of the claim. A missing or incorrect code can cause the whole claim to be denied.
You may receive calls from patients, insurance agents, CFS team members but ONLY THE DOCTOR OR CLINIC PERSONNEL IS ABLE TO ADD/MODIFY ICD10 CODES!
You can say: “I would like to take this information from you, but the doctor or doctor’s office needs to email us this information, because what we bill needs to be diagnosed by the doctor. Could you please ask them to send it to us to [email protected]?”
